This summer I will be having three Love Talk sessions at the Mystic Journey Book Store. The fourth Thursday of each month I will lead a group discussion of love. The idea is that as a professional consultant, as a palmist and astrologer, I have seen people involved in all kinds of emotional situations which were generated by “being in love” with some.
Issues to be discussed: my view on soul mates. Passion of attraction: true sign of love and lust. Are we not willing to speak of lust as if it were not morally a wobbly emotional attraction. Why must we dress up the raw energy with the love at first sight story. How many love at first sight stories work out. I have a client who is in love with love, the initial meeting and exploration of sex and emotions. The hormone high. Then bang it falls a part and it is time to look for another “love”.
WE label gals and guys attractiveness with the numbers one to ten. Should we try this with love? I love her to the 6th degree. To put a degree on is–helpful or not. Does it fall to the same subjective mistakes? “I love her to the 10th degree, absolute forever, it is love at first sight. I knew when our eyes met.”
