Here in LA the New Moon in Scorpio comes at high noon.   This is no ordinary new moon.  First Venus and Mercury are also in Scorpio and yes, they are being squared by Mars in Leo.   Lets think about that.  So secrets have to come out.  And some grand violence has to happen–that is just at an ordinary level.  These days that is nothing special. Yet it takes on meaning at a deeper level Pluto sextiles this new moon and is still in that four degree orb square to Uranus which quintiles the new moon.

Okay. So what???  Thee is what the Hubers called a energized learning triangle.  Add to this that Saturn is in Libra, but ruled by this Venus and moving into a trine with Uranus–and? Hopefully the rabbit will come out of the hat and we will all swoon, just a little at the entertainment the stage of our society provides.

Look for this time to really exose some lessons about who public figures are and that there will be a scandal which, in this age of scandals, is still not known.  Probably sex and money will be the motive here. Corporate money and sex just tossed in for the good times of it all.  Someone’s career will go bump in the night.

Pluto continues its trine with Pluto, creating yet another triangle, usually trines like this show that something can happen even when the rest of the situation has good south.

The Sabian Symbol for all this is “An electrical storm.”  Power and its misuse can create a crisis.   And it is coming!!!

On the individual level, look inward to those dark but powerful secrets that lurk in the 8th house areas of sex, shame rebirth and burying the past.  Even urges to abuse money.  The goal is to face a fear, an urge of the dark side– and transform that energy into power that can work for you and not hang you up. Oh and one last thing-the next new moon is a solar eclipse in Sagittarius–time to learn the lesson even deeper–but that will be the subject of the next entry in this mumble of mind–the meaning of the Sag and Gemini eclipses coming up and straddling Mercury retrograde.  Sounds a little naughty, but to this astrologer, palmist, aura reader, card reader, writer, scuba diver, flute player and general humanitarian.  Something may be coming that is good news. At least the Iraq war will be closed down, not that a few mercenaries wont be around.

Just a short note to point out that the big historical event of outer giants squaring off will continue from 2012 through March 3 2015! The heat from Uranus in the fire of Aries and Pluto in the Earth of Capricorn will be hot enough to cause a further melt-down of the global village as we know it.

Hopefully the outcome will be positive, but the grinding pressure of these two giants in square of each other will be a deep push for a revamping of basic political and economic issues.   I want to post the seven dates to watch in this “square dance” — forgive me but I was a sports columnist at one time and still look at writing as game related.

First note that this square dance goes on into the scarey 2012 all the way to 2015 and the world will not end, but it will become radically “cooked” into a new type of historical era gamesmanship.

For now (for this is like the Lakers playing the Celtics in a series) let me only suggest some major ways this game will play out.

Capricorn in the second house ($) (talent) (resources) of the US Chart with some first house contacts (self of being a citizen)  which opposes the US sun and Jupiter in the seventh (partners) and eighth house(change in taxes, new ventures, you get the picture).

Mean while the Pluto Uranus square in making a T Square in the US context, from the fourth house, the home, the deep personal identity of the values of home/values/where the family environment is)

Back to the sports analogy for those of you who really get confused by all the house and degree stuff.  Look at it this way.  The Lakers/Celtics series will go seven games. There are after all seven exact squares.   The team with the ability to use their basic Saturn moves will win, as the final game will be a Cardinal Cross of extreme exactness. Saturn will be there in the MC of the USA Chart looking to make sense of all this.

For all fans Republicans and Democrats it will be a mind boggling series of nail bitters,  the square offense will be used by both clubs.

There I have set this whole giant transformational cauldron into a metaphor of sports.  And for those who look down their noses on this, let me remind you that sports have more people involved than vote, that the money spent betting is in the billions and with Uranus involved, bet on the underdog  (I would say the Lakers, because they trail in overall series championships to the classic Celtics) .

I recently gave a lecture on the eclipses of this present Cancer/Capricorn cycle, which is now ending.  While my readership is not setting any records, it does give me a record of my insights and predictive skill, particularly in the mundane area. So, I am going to give a summary of my thoughts from my notes.

The series of solar and lunar eclipses from the end of 2009 until now not only set off energy which is arguably an indication of larger shifts in our history, making this time a “tipping point.”  Review my past posts to get my thoughts.

However when one looks at the Sibley chart of the USA and looks at the eclipses during this period (2009 -2011) and add the opposition of Pluto to the Jupiter and Venus of that mundane chart and it is easy to see that our problems in so many areas of economic and diplomatic interests, and need for large changes due to the fact that these core eclipses at on the 8th and 2nd house polarity meaning we need to rethink ourselves.  Do we have the leadership and will?  Another question.

And there is the idea of the “bending” of an eclipse.  The bending represents roughly a 90 day, 90 degree  point where the transiting Sun squares the point of the eclipse and the nodes of the moon.  The Arab Spring and the great 9 earthquake are evidence of this way to see eclipses as little waves of energy and flow down and out in time are their own speed.  Add the square to Saturn and the depth of this “to the foundation” energy is even more difficult and profound.

What about the bending of this July 1, 2011 eclipse?  October 2 is the date.  One important issue is that Pluto is still opposing the US Jupiter.  The good news is that Pluto is moving on.  The Saturn return is over and the ole guy is looking to trine the US moon at the beginning of next year.  Jupiter in Taurus is at least in the house of work, though quincunxing natal Saturn.

In the easiest way to look at it, the world needs to get on a “12 Step” program.  And lets hope we are bottoming out so some real growth can come our way.

To understand the eclipses of June 1, 15, and July 1 we have to think back to the eclipse of July 11,2010 and what has transpired since then. The “”Arab Spring” comes to mind, as well as the assassination of Benladin,  which has changed our relationship with Pakistan, a nuclear power who is the most dangerous country on the planet at this writing.

Let us think about the Israeli and Arab situation.  The Palestinians have bonded and have started to petition the United Nations, and Gaza is now an open border with Egypt.  All the while Obama and the Israeli governments do not see eye to eye to the extent the the US is asking for earlier border arrangements.  Israeli arrogance in settlements, the whole orthodox situation is a mess.  And with Pakistan willing to push back by some bold stroke,  who knows, selling nuclear information or waste products, this is a bad situation.  Everything is changing there.

Japan has had a serious blow.  The energy supply is unstable, the price of gas is at a new high.

Oh, there have been floods and tornadoes ripping through the US and Australia had floods earlier.  Still other parts of the world are in drought.

The economic situation, the Euro, the Greek, etc countries that are so deep in debt that the Germans are balking at holding Europe afloat much longer and the leader the the World Bank turns out to be assaulting maids in hotels.

I don’t want to go, but I could.

The good news is that the July eclipse is the last of the Cancer-Capricorn axis.  The eclipses of June 1 and 16 represent a new cycle.

Still, it is the end of the Cap-Cancer that will resonate like a bell of change and further world-village unrest.  Not pressing the issue of orbs too far, July 1 is another cardinal cross. d Which means that large issues of change, will continue to be front page news.  Mars does trine this configuration and hopefully will channel some energy into better communications, yet that same Mars squares Chiron. The issue is can old wounds, old problems possibly be talked about with some reason.  Well, no, not for awhile. The religious conflicts, the culture conflicts and the stomach (bread, food) will generate more immediate hysteria.

The issue at its deepest level is whether the powers that this species has mentally can overcome the drawbacks of the primitive drives of its emotions and need to see what a great and wonderful world we live in and we need to cluster together to save it.  Strangely our species may well be the first to self destruct.  Oh, not totally, but still it would not be pretty is the starving and sick, the thirsty and cold (or hot) cannot find relief.   Americans, for example know nothing about a food shortage. Our supermarkets are packed, one of the advantages of being a Cancer nation with a large agricultural industry.  But in other countries, the quest for food will get more difficult.  The haves will not see to share with the have-nots if it means any kind of sacrifice.

The good thing about the June eclipse is that it trines Saturn, this is our hope, that some type of justice will start to form, start to help in some way of reworking and restructuring the further chaos of this last July1 eclipse.

The hope that I hold is that the new cycle will come bring a better perspective.  There will be eclipses in Gemini and Scorpio in 2012 which might mean that some type of rebirthing and communication may well start. The Lunar Eclipse of June 15, for example really gets a boost from the connection with the Galactic Center,  and hopefully help in all the hoopla about the 2012 end of the world stuff that is filling the media. Those of us who are now elders of the tribe have seen all this before, seen other configurations that were supposed to mean some fatal event, which never happens.

From the point of view of this Astrologer and Palm Reader, we face big events to come for the rest of this year.  Not the least is the fate of the religious right and the Republican Party/Tea Party.  The issues of social programs, govt health care and taxation will be challenged by an aging generation that wants Medicare and more programs.

The issue of the elderly is another topic, but it can be tabled for later when old people themselves become an industry of needs and oh yes, they vote.  The stress with the younger generation will grow.

But for now, think that more big challenges are going to continue.  It will be a Dog Star summer.  Hot and irritating.  More conflict will be coming.  America will get a new taste of terrorism on the home front and then all hell with breakout.  Enjoy. To the few who read this blog, you will know that some days ago I noted that Sunday the first of May would be quite an event.  It was the stellium, plus moon in Aries, opposing Saturn in Libra (by sign) and squared by Pluto in Capricorn (by sign).

It is a source of pride to me that this blog is not written in the super-sensitive, overly stylized language of most blogs.  My goal is to just get the truth of my thought out in a readable manner.  Consider me the blue collar of astrological bloggers. And palmist, too, for those who are keeping score, but who is and palmists are, well palmists.

The assassination of bin Laden on May 1st was perhaps a little more than I figured, but the actual post about the bigger problems that were going to emerge in the following week was spot on.

The assassination of bin Laden has made a big problem in terms of the relationship of the US and Pakistan.  Further the problems with the army in Egypt not being so swift to allow popular and public meetings as well as the new deal with Hamas and Fatwa Palestinians, as well as the on going problems in Syria which has really become bloody and oh yes, Libya.

As the planets, Mars, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter move into Taurus, while trining Pluto, Pluto is starting to get into more serious “dialogue” with Uranus, “on the square.”

On the square is a very old masonic term and it means to be honest, to put everything on the table, bare all facts.  And when the square between Uranus and Pluto gets into high gear there is going to be more and more economic problems, facts will be on the table.

All things hidden will come out and lets not talk about Pakistan, lets talk about hidden economic pressures, hidden resources, and the very product of the mother earth itself, food.  Remember food, it comes from the earth, plain and simple.  No high astrology here.  Food is going to be a greater and greater issue as the floods and droughts and fires take their toll on the food supply (and water supply) of the planet, deeper issues will come out.  What will North Korea do, they are starving already. Water and food is an issue in India and Pakistan.   The price of food will also rise and the price of energy, gas, oil, processing energy. It was in many real ways the flash point of a lot of all this unrest

So let us go forward with the hope that somehow we can work all this out.  But it will not be without more nail biting situations.  Never fear, I will spell these things out in simple blog terms.

And don’t forget I told you about May 1 being the “big sledge hammer of release” for Aries, awe the warrior.  But hey, he is also the spirit of the pioneer.

Hot off the Zodiac Press, Transit Alert!!!!!

This May Day may be more like “May Day! May Day!” You know the distress signal?  Well, people, this transit picture starting April 29 and through to the New Moon May 2nd  shows there are five planets, plus the moon is Aries.  And on the 29th it starts with a moon, Pluto sq.

Astrologers always like to see patterns that seem to show an exceptional formation–and all this Aries energy in a world already crazy is, well potentially chaotic.  Those of you who follow this post have seen that this astrologer has long been pessimistic about the energy being released on the Earth Plane.  It has long been my point of view that the Cardinal Climax so heralded  last July is only now really kicking in.    The eclipse of this January has be a trigger to the true potential for changes in so many ways.

The revolution spreading across the Arab countries cannot help but be further fanned by this Aries stellium. Syria seems destined to be another bloody battlefield.  The reports of all the government crackdown, killings and torture will just increase as the cry of the proletariat seeks honest government from a tyrant. The other question is:  will this spread to Iran?  Who knows, but this is something we can take to the bank:  more violence is coming and it has to come to Iran.

The next question: what about the energy supply and the economies, both the US and the world?  Everyone has their food delivered by trucks.  And with the price of gas rising and the speculators chopping for more and more greedy profits, I fear that the May Day for help will be in the price of food.  Many think that the price of food was a major factor in the riots already.  The Egyptian population was screaming out for govt. help in stabilizing the price of bread.   And now that it seems as if the price of bread will have to move up, how will the Military Government (my caps) deal with this?

For my money, there will be more turmoil, and it ends with oil. You can take that to the bank.

Another issue is the growing awareness of the American people that the Tea Party has no power compared to the Senior Boomers who are waking up to the ragged edges of their old age, and damn if they want to keep their medicare.  The Gray Panthers are going to wake up.  And already in town halls and meetings with representatives across the country people are MAD.  As if in Aries Mad.

It will also start dawning on more and more people that tax cuts for the rich are not cutting it.

It will also start to dawn the inflation and deflation at the same time hurts all on incomes that are fixed through pensions, social security or wage freezes.

So, this astrologer will just say this:  Watch the triggers this May Day.  The marching will be one of people who are seeking to find meaning and honor in their lives threatened by circumstances that they are determined to change.

And let the palmist say this: the Line of Life on the palm is the most important line on the hand. And if the world were to have a palm, the Line of Life on that hand would be stressed and challenged by forces working against the very flow of the essence of life.

Let’s Look at History for Clues–Neptune and Uranus Are Two Big Players in Politics and Explosiveness, Oh, Don’t Forget Revolutions, Even Civil War.  It’s a hard, hard and hot rain that’s gonna fall.

Neptune’s past tells us something about how what we might expect.

Discovered in 1846  Neptune appeared on the scene during a time conjunct the US Chart’s  Aquarius moon.  This was the beginning of the expanded and bitter States Rights movement which focused on issues about what was the power of the federal government in regard to trade, banking and oh yes, slavery.

This pressure worked in a variety of ways that we should look at. First there was a strong movement to free slaves (Aquarius’s ruler of this discovered Neptune – Uranus was in Aries at the time- as it is now helped) and the vision (Neptune) was starting to dissolve and seek to reshape the thinking about the US and the underpinnings of its values and projected sense of national self.

Consider that Pisces in the Sibley chart is intercepted in the third house, so actually we can say that Neptune was working on a hidden aspect of the actual revolutionary and freedom concepts.   How could a nation be divided ed by freedom and slavery?  This issue brought the North and South into great political stress.  The cheap labor force and the biblical support for slavery made the South feel it was entitled to this economic system. It was even decided in the consensus that slave were 2/5 a human in the count, since the Southerns did not want the white North by sheer white numbers take over the House of Representatives.

Sooooo, Neptune when it went into Pisces in 1847 then stayed in Pisces until  after the mid year 1861 after,the Civil War had started, upon which time it went into Aries, just to see the war done savagely and to screw up the reconstruction and the founding of the KKK.

The buildup to the war was marked by huge bills of compromise regarding this divisive issue of slavery.  New states had to be balanced, one free, one slave as they came into the union. Thus the principles of the Missouri Compromise was born.

Not to just keep beating a dead horse, but Neptune in Pisces with Uranus in Aries is the fuse to a powder keg down the road.

The States Rights and Tea Party — Neptune is back!

Isn’t it interesting that as Neptune enters the end of Aquarius and ingresses into Pisces that the same issues of States Rights and economic issues  headline the news. And we have all these wars of revolution in the Arab countries suddenly.  Does this astrologer/palm reader/tarot card reader/general mystic and true seeker of the good have any answers?

Well yes:  The global Village is about the get an even larger shakeup. The whole vision of unity around the health and saving of planet earth will be countered by the economic rising of workers wanting more wages and bringing huge shifts in world politics.

The revolutionary path of the Arab countries will prevail.  There may set backs but the surge of the human spirit, armed with desire and social networking systems (Uranus in Aries) will prevail, just as books and pamphlets fired the drive to free American slaves.

World wage slaves will want more money to live better, to emulate the lives that the electronic media has shown them.

The USA

During this Neptune ingress, the chart of the USA is having a Saturn return at the same time Uranus is opposing the progress US moon.  Pluto will make one more transit opposing the US natal Jupiter. More bad news to come for awhile, it seems.

In all this Neptune will quincunx the Mid-heaven of the US. This will make the US status, reputation and economic power, not to mention military use, will try to find a way through a maze of true Olympian (as of Mt Olympus) proportions.

In short we are entering into a very explosive time. Now that the Saturn-Uranus cycles, which by the way, started November 4, 2008, you do the math have ended in April (oil spill time just as Neptune was on the cusp of Neptune -water purity).  And the ingress comes just after Jupiter opposed Saturn–Tea Party challenges all economic and social policies.

Neptune symbolizes that this issues must be dealt with, compromises must be reached.  The issue of wars and how many and how long before this new world vision evolves is a difficult position to delineate.  Strangely, in February  Neptune starts to trining the Cancer planets (Sun, Venus and Jupiter) of the USA.  This is helpful as Uranus will just start to really get its squares working for Aries on the same planets, and creating a large explosive area–the politicians of the 2012 election.

The historical pattern is starting to become clearer. There is a hope that perhaps there will be a way to bring all this energy together in some form of whole.  Plato said that all of life was looking for wholeness, to knowing and understanding how we fit in society and the greater cosmos.  This is what is going to happen here.  We are going to try to see what will make us whole, what will bind us together as citizens on the earth.  This will not come easy, the way will involve more fighting and conflict, but down the road there will be something of a fragile beginning to a greater sense of humanity.

How can we have the brains to see our genome and yet be able to see a way to structure a human condition that offers more hope.

How can we put the miracles of science and health that are coming without having the insight of how to use them?

These are the issues of the new  Neptune energy. Is this part of the new consciousness that 2012 will give us?  Did the Mayans have a vision of a new consciousness that will evolve after the solstice of 2012 on the exact conjunction with the galactic center?  Lets hope! Lets hope something positive will happen and it won’t take its sweet time getting to the people of this expanding earthling population.

During the 1930s there was a similar energy, and it brought us and depression followed by the New Deal –that’s just what we need, a new deal for planet earth.

March 28, 2011 Jupiter 14 Aries opposes Saturn 14 Libra

The good times just keep on giving, don’t they. Those astrologers and students of astrology as well as Astro-palmists know that these are strange times, indeed.
We are still reeling and rocking from the struggle Jupiter had with Pluto. Those of you who have read past blogs can easily see that I correctly predicted all this mania and the energy problem and the rebellion problem as well as other problems. Lets face it. I see problems everywhere. I even depress myself when I think about these times and what it is that we are giving to the young. And then I realize that the young have all these electronic social skills and god bless them, they are our only hope.
And we are going to need hope. The Saturn Jupiter opposition is going to bring the difficulty to bringing order into the wild ride going on in Aries. Jupiter is expanding the political and emotional stage and Uranus enters the sign, to stay this time, and low and behold, the forces of chaos will challenge that of the sense of order.
The issue is, after the revolution, who is governing? That issue will start to haunt us. Order must be restored. The issues in the continuing political arena are not solved.
Look at it this way. In the past all revolutions got messy. In fact the American Revolution seems polite compared to most. The French, the Russian, the Chinese, all these put in place strong men: Napoleon, Stalin and Mao. And in these aftermaths there were purges. Hopefully we won’t see a lot of this, the idea of ethnic cleansing is not looked upon in the same way anymore.
But with Saturn in fair and just Libra trying to bring some fundamental structure to the large amounts of chaos and national sentiment that is raging. It seems to me that Saturn, tough as he is, is not up to the task. More chaos to come.
Neptune is about to kiss hello to Pisces and enter its own sign. And this is where the idea of even larger ideologies come into play. To me it is the hope of the green planet, but that hope will only come into play after the illusion of oil and the ruthless addiction we all suffer from is in someway harnessed. Why? Because after Jupiter races through Aries it romps into Taurus and square that hapless old Neptune.
This is where compulsive action takes place in several areas. First the problem of oil and energy will not go away. Secondly the problems of coal and the pollution of what we breathe and also the world weather will bring more problems.
Neptune in Pisces is the topic for another blog, so lets just leave it right there at that.
Back to Aries, to Uranus in Aries and, oh yes, Pluto. By the end of this summer Uranus will station at 4 Aries and Pluto will be at 5 Capricorn. The dance of a much more disturbing nature will begin. And we will be entering the fantasy island of 2012, which is such an exciting time, what will all the hype this has been getting.

Times are really starting to speed up. The Jupiter/Saturn opposition is the whistle, a call to order that we might see as a hockey game that has gotten out of control. The refs have lost control of the game, the players are out on the ice flailing away at each other. There will be order restored only after everyone has had there fill on the anger, the fighting, biases, the cheering of the mob, the ratings on TV on the hope that in this fractal universe there is a larger pattern of harmony that will emerge. But that may be wishful thinking. Certainly this may be like the time that we all knew were coming and we are all we have and we have to figure it out, while time goes by. There is a earthquake coming, but ready. Be one who has learned from the signs and found their fox hole.

Well, check the dates of the last post. You can see that this astrologer saw the coming tensions between two powerful planets, post eclipse, would bring social and economic upheaval.

The whole Egyptian revolution has come in on the heels of the Tunisian revolution, what can be far behind? Iran. And who knows, maybe more.

But the interest is really this. This large energy collision between Jupiter and Pluto is just getting started. It is not until the 22nd of Feb that the aspect is exact and we have the tsunami going on into March where Uranus will join in on this Aries scene. Rebellion, individual rights, the whole spectrum of demands will continue to fuel the fires of change and dynamic social upheaval. Things will get dicey.

Here is the key question: Once you have cut off the head of the snake, how do you put a new head on it? Or once you have killed the snake, who will slither into the scene and take over. The history on this has not been great. Often these great revolutions generate problems. Who will take over the power is an issue that could lead to greater and greater division. While everyone can unite against an oppressor, it is more difficult to get agreement on the way to move into the new and better days ahead.

The French and Russian revolutions brought in Napoleon and Stalin. The Afghanistan people all fought to get out from under the Russian oppression, but look what happened.

All this is not to say that a positive solution to these Arab revolutions cannot be found, it is saying that it will prove difficult. Astrologers, this one included have hoped that the coming tensions of the crisis on the state of the mother/planet might bring a whole world village into focus, that everyone will see that we are all passengers on this merry-go-round called earth and we need to pull together.

However let us see that this is one of greatest challenges we face, because of the new media. All astrologers point to Uranus as the planet that rules this realm. And the hope is that Uranus into Aries will focus on new beginnings in consciousness because of the new media. When we can go on line and me in LA can read tweets from the actual people on the square in Cairo, then something new is happening.

Those of us old enough to remember the protests of the 60s can surely be cheering on the revolution. Let us just wait and see. The energy is so dynamic and chaotic that anything, literally can happen.

However, let this astrologer say that the other revolution, because of electronics, is that the American Stock Exchange will be purchased by a group of German banks. At least the discussions, according to what news we can get about this, are in a serious level.

Think of it. Germans owning Wall Street. Why? Because they are more advanced in the technology of banking. See, the only think American Banks are good at is stealing from the poor. Now the very pride of our finance system may be sold.

All this is most disturbing. However it this astrologers profound thinking that meditation is the answer. The stress of following all this needs a resolution, and it is meditation. Meditation and the awareness of others and a determination to align our consciousness with with the larger evolutionary intent of our galaxy’s force field in the general field of the big bang’s schemata.

Let us not forget that we are all star dust. We are all in this body for awhile, then we revert to a different frequency of energy. So meditation is the key.

Yes, Zodiac Fans, it is a match that only comes on every few years.
